Top 5 Caching WordPress Plugins to Boost Your Site’s Speed
3 minutes | Word Count: 586A loading speed of your website plays a significant role in determining your online success. Whether you are running an e-commerce website or merely a blog, if your site is taking more than 5 seconds to load, you can start expecting your visitors to navigate away to a competitor’s website. Of course, you wouldn’t want that. Right?
What is Caching?
In a computing background, a cache is a place to temporarily store you website data.
Active data is usually cached in order to reduce load times. When you return to a normally accessed website, chances are that your browser will have a good portion of the site’s files stored within its cache. That means the browser needs to receive less ‘fresh’ information from the site, resulting in a faster load time.
Though there are various ways of boosting your site’s speed, caching is considered as the best. Caching is a process of creating a static version of your dynamic website and save it on the user’s browser. Caching speeds up the process of loading images or static data of your website and consequently improves site’s speed.
